It’s the series everyone is talking about - Normal People. Set in rural Ireland, the series follows childhood sweethearts, Marianne and Connell, as they navigate their life and love together and apart. We laughed, we cried, we lusted over Marianne’s wardrobe (and Connell’s chain). Our summer style inspo, she favoured demure, midi dresses but teamed them with badass attitude. Pick up florals, gingham and a black strappy dress and pretend you’re in Italy.
It probably comes as no surprise that Villanelle is included in our stylish heroine line-up! We’ve been obsessed with her and her wardrobe for a long time and with the new season out now, the passion has been reignited. This season sees her step away from the big, pink frills and instead, she’s reaching for tailoring and loud prints to match her vivacious personality. Go bold, go colourful but don’t do as Villanelle does, do as Villanelle dresses…
Netflix has blessed us in our time of need with a second season of Dead To Me, a black comedy that follows two grieving women who bond over therapy. We can’t really say anymore without giving away major spoilers but if you haven’t watched it, Judy Hale’s wardrobe is an iconic homage to the 70s and we’re digging it! Think stripe tees (we’re borrowing from the boys for this one), paisley prints and floral smocks.
