National Prosecco Day

It’s National Prosecco Day so we’re raising a glass (or two) to our favourite bubbly. Nothing screams ‘good time’ like prosecco and we’re ready to celebrate in style. Sure, this year lands on a weekday (boo) but that hangover is future you’s problem. Pimp up your prosecco with these four delicious cocktails and choose your look to match. Cheers!

THE PARTY GIRL

Polka dots and passion fruit? A match made in heaven! If your favourite accessory is a drink in your hand, this look (and cocktail) is for you. You’re here to have a good time and a glass of fizz always does the trick. Turn up the music and head to the dance floor to show off your prosecco popping moves. Passion fruit martini’s all the way!

Ingredients:

- 2 ripe passion fruits
- 60ml vanilla vodka
-30ml Passoa
-1 tbsp lime juice
-1 tbsp sugar syrup
-A shot of Prosecco to serve

Method:

Scoop the seeds from one of the passion fruits into the glass of a cocktail shaker, add the vodka, Passoa, lime juice and sugar syrup. Add a handful of ice and shake well, strain into 2 martini glasses, top up with with our fave prosecco, then add half a passion fruit to each. Serve immediately.

THE EARLY BIRD

Wake up and smell the Mimosas! They say the early bird catches the worm but on Prosecco day it’s all about the fizz. Style up brunch in a wild matching set complete with all black accessories to make your morning mimosa pop. The perfect drink to accompany your eggs benny and avo, brighten up the AM with a mimosa.

Ingredients:

• Prosecco, chilled
• Freshly squeezed orange juice, chilled

Method:

Half fill a glass with prosecco and top up with orange juice. It’s that easy!

THE SASS POT

Feeling sassy? We are! It’s Aperol spritz o’clock and we’re majorly crushing on this blue denim dress! Bring the sass in this perfect colour combination (bright blue and sunshine orange) to celebrate Prosecco Day in style. Accessorise with trusty mules and a glass (or two) of Aperol for a guaranteed good time. sunshine state of mind.

Ingredients:

• Ice
• 100ml Aperol
• 150ml prosecco
• Soda, to top up 

Method: 

Put a couple of cubes of ice into 2 glasses and add a 50 ml measure of Aperol to each. Divide the prosecco between the glasses and then top up with soda, for extra fizz!

THE CLASS ACT

If you’re going to celebrate, celebrate with class. If you want to be a class act only a Rose 75 will do. Drink as you mean to go on (classily) and dress the part to match. Bring sophistication to the bar in a one shoulder statement top complete with ‘I mean business’ mules and keeping it classy handbag. Bottoms up!

Ingredients:

• Gin
• Lemon juice
• Simple syrup
• Top with rose prosecco
• Garnish with lemon slice

Method

Add gin, simple syrup and lemon juice to a shaker with ice. shake and then double strain into a champagne flute. Top with rose prosecco and garnish with a lemon slice
