LFWM's Trend Round-Up

LFWM's Trend Round-Up

As we look back on a fruitful London Fashion Week Men’s we’re handing over to Content Creator and Lifestyle Blogger, Matthew Pike to give us his trend round-up for the new season…

But first,  did you see our LFWM video? We caught up with Matthew and other industry insiders for a look at life on the inside of one of London’s most coveted fashion events. Watch below:

‘A couple of weeks ago we saw fashion insiders, journalists, designers, street style stars and bloggers visit the capital for another round of London Fashion Week Men’s. Here I’ve rounded up some of the top trends for the upcoming AW17 season…

Camouflage

‘Camouflage is a trend that never veers away from menswear all that far. For AW17 camo is back, but this time expect to see it across more streetwear and directional pieces, taking influences from youth cultures across the world’.

Relaxed Fits

'The rise in the fuller, relaxed silouettes has been a steady one over the past couple of seasons, and if the shows of AW17 are anything to go by we’ll see it arrive in stores later this year. Expect to see a rise in oversized tailoring and loose fit denim.'

Tuck 'em In

‘Call this one a micro-trend, but we couldn’t help but notice the amount of tucked in t-shirts we saw across the shows, installations and even on the street’.

Art Prints

‘One of the boldest trends to come out of LFWM’s was the emergence of classic and modern art prints used, rather brashly, across all types of clothing. We saw pop art on hoodies, graffiti on denim and paint splatter on jackets. The louder the better, it would seem’.

Chasing Colour

‘Two colours which stood out from the shows were yellow and purple. Both subtle and eye-catching, each colour was used across knitwear, outerwear, accessories, jersey and structured tailoring’.
