Jordan Luce’s Guide To Cuffing | 100% Smooth Moves

Smooth by name and smoother by nature, Jordan Luce is an ex-pro both on the basketball court and the playing field. A self-confessed romantic (he’s part French) and former European champion who recently married at 24. A firm believer in going for it no matter what, he doesn’t let anything hold him back. Born with Congenital Pseudarthrosis of the right tibia, he relies on a wheelchair when walking gets too much, but feels just as confident both in and out of his chair. We caught up on set of our latest campaign to divulge his top cuffing tips...

1. Wine and dine them

I’m French so I love the culture of food and wine. A sweet red wine with some good food is the way to anyone’s heart!

2. Make your Instagram profile private

I used to get so many messages from people asking if they could push me! I think it’s some new kind of fetish. But seriously, it will save a lot of snooping and arguments.

3. Always have self-confidence

Being French, I would always have this language barrier but now I see it as a strength. It’s my differences that have defined my character and have actually made me more confident.

4. Pull out all the stops

When I proposed to my wife at her favourite restaurant, I had the waiter bring out a cloche with a ring and note underneath. Then I surprised her with a party in the garden with all our family and friends.

5. Let your guard down

If you put barriers up, you’ll never get where you want to be, in life and in love. I’ll admit I’m a bit of a romantic, I think that’s why I got married so young. I blame my French roots!

6. Speak the language of love

It’s a fine art! But I can also speak French, Creole and I’m learning Spanish so that’s always a bonus.

7. Be kind

I’m not about playing games – aside from basketball. I like to look after my people. I love seeing the look on someone’s face when you do something nice for them.

8. Look slick

My style is simple, but smart. You don’t have to try too hard to look good.
