Islanders At Home: Charity Round Up

We may be in the midst of a global pandemic, but our amazing Islanders have been using their hibernation time to work tirelessly fundraising for our three mental health and well-being charities; Age UK, Mind and Place2Be, as well as doing good in their communities. Together we have raised an incredible £250,000 to support these three great charities and created so many feel good moments in the process! We’re overwhelmed with the hard work and success led by our people making a difference to many who have experienced the impact of the pandemic on their mental health and well-being. Please join us in congratulating our amazing Islanders! Let’s see what they have been up to …

Our Islanders are a creative bunch, so we weren’t surprised at all when they went the extra fundraising mile…

They’ve walked, ran, cycled, rowed and skipped 13,485km.

They’ve scaled 115 mountains.

They’ve climbed 1500 staircases

They’ve crossed 160 bridges.

And 6 heads have been shaved!

So many of our amazing Islanders volunteered their time to support their local communities and those in need, as well as helping to support our NHS and care workers with essential PPE equipment. We can’t thank them enough for these feel good moments. From helping the elderly, supporting local businesses, giving blood and volunteering for Age UK, our people are the best! We also had teams making PPE and scrubs for the NHS, our design dream team supported future designers by offering mentoring, coaching and career advice and our Distribution Centre team supported the NHS by transporting vital resources throughout the pandemic. They delivered 36 loads of medical supplies and food to hospitals and food banks, worked a total of 369 hours and covered almost 13,000 miles.

You can always count on our amazing Islanders to do inspiring things. A huge thank to everyone that got involved!
